Resolve the problem of QuickBooks Crashing

1- Run Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tool Hub to resolve the issue.

1. First off all, download and install the latest QB Tool Hub.
2. Then, open the downloaded file and click Program Problems.
3. Select Quick Fix my Program.
4. And start QB desktop and open the data file.

2- Use the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool from the Tool Hub.

1. Open the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
2. Select Program Problems.
3. Select QB Program Diagnostic Tool and let it run. It takes 20 minutes.
4. After the process gets completed, restart the system and relaunch QuickBooks.

3- Rename the QBWUSER.ini file.

If the file is damaged, renaming it would resolve the problem.

1. First, you need to open the folder where the QBWUSER.ini file is saved and if you can’t find the folder, enable the hidden files and folders.
2. Then, right-click the QBWUSER.ini file and choose Rename.
3. Add (.old) after the file name as (QBWUSER.ini.old).
4. Rename the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file.
5. And reopen QuickBooks desktop.

Try opening a sample company file if the software opens after renaming QBWUSER.ini or EntitlementDataStore.ecml file. Want to access the sample company file, but not your company file? Copy your file to a different folder and open it from a new location.
